Our Motto is “Your World. Your Voice.”

The days of the press being a one-way street are over. Here at The New York Herald, we hope to build an online newspaper of the highest quality, featuring some of the sharpest writing on political, cultural and media issues. We can’t do that without our readers. We encourage you engage directly with our writers by commenting and rating stories, as well spreading the word via Digg, Facebook and other social networks.

Not all comments are worth publishing.

Don’t think this is a free-for-all however. We encourage thoughtful dialogue from all sides of the opinion spectrum, but we won’t tolerate hate, ignorance, spam and stupidity. It’s a waste of time for our readers and lowers the quality of our content. We’ll use the latest tools to ban spammers, flag hate-filled rants and otherwise filter out ignorance. We hope you’ll help us by voting comments up/down and flagging anything you find offensive. On the other hand, we’ll also highlight well-articulated feedback on a page we’ll call “Letters to the Editor” - just for old times’ sake.
