A new Apple Mac Mini is arriving based on Nvidia’s Ion platform, according to Toms Hardware, which claims that the Nvidia partner confirmed to them that Apple was first to receive samples of the new Ion platform. The GPU is the same 9400M that is used in Macbooks and Macbook Pro unibody. The GPU is capable of full HD video decoding and is paired with an Atom 330 processor clocked at 1.6 Ghz on a 533 MHz front side bus.
The new Apple Mac Mini is expected to be smaller, cost roughly the same ($500-$700) and be launched sometime in March.
